RSPB Reserves in Northern Ireland

If birds are your thing, Northern Ireland is the place to come and visit. Rathlin Island has one of the largest sea bird colonys in the British Isles and is home to the Rathlin puffins. Even the very rare corncrake has made an appearance here in recent years and choughs are often to be seen. Strangford lough is one of the RSPB's greatest successess in Northern Ireland and is a bird watchers paradise.  Happy bird watching.

Here in Ballygally we have some fabulous bird life too. There can be no other self catering in Northern Ireland with such a diverse variety of wildlife to view from the windows due to the beach, sea, countryside and the hills and of course being in a "Designated Area of Natural Beauty" helps.
